Barn Kid's Horse Club

December 6th & 20th

We welcome beginner to intermediate horse lovers ages 7 to 14. 

You do not have to be a part of our lesson program to enjoy horse club. 

Each month has a themed learning plan. 

For Example: Safety September is all about how horses see the world differently from humans and learning how they experience the environment helps us understand how we can stay safe while working with them. 

You always hear, "Don't go behind the horse." but we want to teach you why you need to cautious and what warning signs to look for to keep from being kicked. Because most horses don't randomly kick just because someone walks up behind them.

Enjoy 3 hours of barn time from 9am till 12pm on select Sundays a month.

Horse Time – 45 minutes to 1 hour - Horse time is spent grooming and tacking up and learning horse sense.  

We split up in groups and either ride or start our barn work.

Ride Time – 45 minutes to 1 hour -  Riders ride in groups of three to four with the riding instructor and a volunteer helper. They learn how to control the horse at their current level. As the year progresses, Barn Kids will learn the mounted games we will play at our end of year party in May.

Barn Time - 45 minutes to 1 hour -  Clubbers clean stalls, wash water buckets, sweep crossties and set feed and hay. They learn the daily care of  owning a horse.

 Barn Kids love to spend their days at the barn with horses and like-minded friends. Lifelong friendships are formed over a shared love of horses.  Barn Kids learn horse safety, care, and horsemanship in a group setting of 6 to 8 students.
